Piloting steel products with Radøy Group

Radøy Group is a high performance steel producer working mostly for the oil industry. Together with Nordic Circles they are now using their skills and facilities to produce building products with upclycled steel. 

It is a new exciting chapter for us, says Lasse Ståløy, CEO at Radøy Group. 

The cooperation with Radøy Group is an important piece of our strategy. If the steel producers in the Norwegian oil industry experience that they can use their skills in a new circular green industry we will open a new growth opportunity. Globally, there is about 12 billion tonns of steel going for decommission every year, and Norway has the fifth largest fleet in the world. If the shipping industry, decommission and steel producers work together it would open a new green industry for the maritim industry worth billions. It could generate thousands of high valued jobs in Norway.
